“Lauren and Mitch were married less than 500m from their home in the beautiful south-east coast of Victoria Australia. Although it rained on and off the entire day, it didn’t withhold them or their friends and family from having an amazing experience. From an intimate forest setting by the beach to the Taco truck and handmade ice-cream, everything had a handmade personal touch. Friends flew in from all over the world to help cook, build and prepare for the day, and it was clear in the details presented. A beautiful couple and such incredible detail – it was a pleasure to photograph. Most of the wedding was shot on medium format film to fit with the handmade and warm feel. And a handmade linen bound Galleria album was chosen to represent the detail in their day as well as the feel of the images.”

About James Looker
“I was first introduced to photography as a teenager and have always viewed the world from a different perspective. Being a self-taught photographer, raised on the Surf Coast of Australia, nature and the environment have always deeply inspired me and have been a huge part of my life.
I still use film cameras; combining them with digital gives me endless creative possibilities. Using mostly natural available light, I’m able to focus on capturing the moments uninterrupted in their natural environment, rather than setting up an overly posed image. I truly believe it’s these unsuspecting and precious beautiful moments that we reflect upon and re-live many years after they have occurred. My passion is capturing those moments and emotions, and documenting them in my own style, so that they can be treasured forever. Creating with my hands is my passion and capturing beautiful imagery is my life.”
